Grundlagen

Painted this in five days with around 25 different color-stages. I'm not very good at painting but it was fun to concentrate on one picture for a longer period of time and experiment with different color-variations. I learned a great deal about the "neighborhood-impressions" of colors.

Done at an exhibition in the old "Heizkraftwerk Berlin Mitte". A huge hall formerly used for the turbine of the power plant. These boxes were used for shipment of the exhibits which were mostly architectural models.

Studying a plastic skeleton helped me to understand some of my own anatomy a bit better.

Testing the combined effect of auditory and visual stimuli regarding the perception of spaces.

Short animation done for the "spatial design"-class at university.

There are a lot of interesting options to deepen some of the basic-classes at university in the next semester and I don't know which would be good to explore.

Drawing

Got to draw a rather disorderly organized stack of six chairs on thursday for the "Zeichnen I" class (roughly translated 'Drawing I'). After spending half the day on a huge, about Din A0 sized drawing of the stack with terrible mistakes in it I started little drawings in my sketchbook. It was the first time I seriously tried to draw something complex on a format sized bigger than A2.
I need a camera to document all "oversized" practices.

Sicily and Hannover Messe 2010

Threw the 9x13 prints from a Velvia 50 onto an ordinary flatbed scanner. Seems the lab did some color correction before printing the photos. Awfully blu-greenish.
